Bikeit is a brand of Sportit Srl, a company set up in 2016 by Pasquale Scopelliti and Riccardo Maggioni, former consultants of The Boston Consulting Group and supporters of digital transformation, as well as great lovers of sport and also active with the Snowit brand, Europe’s leading platform for booking a ski holiday. Today, the company has a team of almost 40 people, with an average age of 28, and an Advisory Board consisting of top managers from large companies, consulting firms and former professional skiers and snowboarders. In December 2021, the FNM Group acquired a 33% stake in the capital of Sportit.

Sportit operates under a travel agency and tour operator licence and is a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association.

Biket was born from the experience of Snowit

Snowit is the first digital platform aggregating all services related to winter sports and the mountains. On Snowit, in fact, you can buy everything you need for an unforgettable mountain holiday in over 130 participating resorts: from hotels to ski passes, from ski and snowboard lessons to equipment rental, and a large number of wellness, gourmet, adrenaline and group travel experiences. Thanks to the Snowitcard, it is now possible to ski in more than 50 resorts instead of buying a ski pass on site.

With more than 500 partner companies that have chosen it to sell their services, Snowit is the only digital marketplace in an otherwise highly fragmented and poorly digitised market, offering the public the best offers in the sector, customised, without any fixed costs, but saving time by booking online, avoiding unnecessary queues at checkouts or lengthy telephone contacts with individual merchants.

How Bikeit was born

In the wake of Snowit’s success, and the realisation that its highly flexible and scalable technology could also be applied in other sectors, Bikeit was born in 2022. Bikeit is the platform that aggregates all the services needed by cycle tourists, from the most experienced to cycle excursionists, and is able to build customised routes, tailored to the needs of individual users: from the number of daily kilometres one wishes to cover, to the duration of the holiday, from the level and experience of cycling to the type of equipment one wishes to hire. The system then composes a package, which can be customised by adding hotels, services such as insurance or luggage transport, experiences such as visits to museums, wellness routes, wine and food tasting to create a truly unforgettable cycling holiday.
